There is a solution for every problem. With this in mind, Albers Zeilmakerij B.V. developed the reel cover. During cold periods, processing cables is a problem for many infrastructure companies because the pipe is much stiffer than in warmer periods. This quickly leads to coiling, with the result that cables cannot be inserted/blown in as far as in warmer periods. This makes additional drilling and therefore additional costs unavoidable.
The reel cover is easy to use and can be installed by one person. Hot air is applied under the reel cover to heat up the pipe. After heating for approximately 30 minutes (depending on the power of the air heater), the pipe is heated to such an extent that you no longer have to worry about coil formation.
